I've created a sport, dont know how to promote/patent?

i've made a sport with a few other friends and we have a fb page and weebly website but we dont really know how to keep it from being stolen and keep it going since all three of the "founders" are going to different schools next year and promote it without using money. information about any of this woukd be helpful thanks. its called trapball if you wana look it up on fb its the picture the looks like the baseball logo
