Can you include more than one design option for a device in a utility patent application?

I've invented a tool and one of the components involves a water tight pump. I would like to include two strategies for making this. Both accomplish the same goal and are a component of a device that accomplishes the same goal, so would I able to file both designs under a single patent application or would I have to do each of them separately?
