How can i go about getting a patent for an idea that i have?

I have an idea for a business that I want to start. All I have is the idea in my head i dont have anything built or created. what should be the first step in getting my creation made so that i can protect my idea and make money off of it. Also how much would a patent cost my idea has to do with alcohol.
