How can one SSRI differ from another?

I've been taking Fluvoxamine for OCD for years, and my doctor recently changed me to Zoloft because I was starting to experience intense anxiety again. If both drugs are SSRIs and increase the amount of serotonin at the synapse, how can one be better than the other, or even different? Just curious! Thanks!
